Supergirl

I did it!

I finished my Supergirl! I started only a month ago on it and I can wear it to a Con now!

I started with the tape and cling film method for the boots, this way I made my own template to know the shape and measurements, I used hot glue to get the fabric to stick to my boots.

My dream was starting to come true! I was very happy with how the boots came out because I’ve never made a Cosplay out of this much fabric and all by myself before 🙂

With the boots done, it was time to start on the belt.

I used the tape and cling film method again, I really found out it’s a Cosplayer’s best friend, together with hot glue, that is 😀

Now only the Skirt and Cape were left to make, I did both of them on a Saturday and it all came together. I kinda start to understand my grandma’s sewing machine too! Maybe, one day, we”ll be best friends 😉

The hardest part and most impossible question to solve was how to make an ‘S’ and how to put it on the shirt I bought.. We had ideas about cutting the S out of fabric and glue it on, but soon we found out that was nearly impossible / very hard to do.
Then my mom told me about some kind of paper where you can just print your thing on and iron it on your shirt. I searched the internet and found it! I tried it out and although the reviews say it doesn’t hold for a long time, I’m happy if it will just hold for 2 or 3 days while wearing it outside and then I can just make a new one, because the paper came with 6 at once and now I’ve only used 2.

Supergirl is ready! 3rd Cosplay project finished!
Can’t wait to wear this outside and look like the girl whose story continues again in a few months when season 3 continues 🙂

PS. No idea why on the last picture, all red fabric looks kinda pink. It’s definitely not pink, it’s still as red as is shown on the picture above it ^_^
